Life is Only One: Yoshitomo Nara 2015

I bought this little doggy after visiting the exhibition, Life is Only One: Yoshitomo Nara, in Asia Association, Admirality.
Though it is the first solo exhibition of Yoshitomo Nara in Hong Kong, but his name is well-known to local Hong Kong people if they like Japanese artists, especially the paintings of girl with her signature grumpy look. I am quite familiar with his paintings but the most interesting thing to me is the slide show of his photographs which shows in the venue. All the photos were taken when the time he travelled to afghanistan in 1998. This is the first time that I can see through the artist's eyes which related to his paintings that is all about young children and animals. I like the giant glass fibre art 'fountain of life'.

My girl is interested with the doggy and its shinning nose!
It sells in the sourvenir shop in the venue(HKD380), in black color as well.
There is a set of special Hong Kong edition of plates ($998) but they are all sold out right now.
They will be selling again on 12 May but customers have to answer a question about the exhibition right if you want to buy the set.

love all these collectibles!
