Forgotten Promises

The name 'Forgotten Promises' makes me think of something romantic but also blending with sadness and disappointment. oh! I am talking about the exhibition by Damien Hirst @ Gagosian Gallery held in Hong Kong.
For Heaven's Sake (2008)  is the most controversial art piece in this exhibition. It is a life-size human baby skull cast in platinum and covered in 8,128 pavé-set perfect diamonds: 7,105 natural fancy pink diamonds and, on the fontanel, 1,023 white diamonds. But it is not my favourite in this exhibition.
The gallery also showcases his new fact paintings of different species of butterflies and sculptures. The idea of turning photograph to painting is fascinating and I love the way he explained. 'A photograph is from a moment, a split second. Painting is about stopping to look at the world, considering it, and giving it more and more importance.'
Cupid's Lie and Saint Bartholomew are my favorites in this exhibition. Both of them are stunning. See if you have the same feeling as mine.

Just drop in and have a look no matter you like Hirst or not.
